A Platform Engineered For Filmmaker Protection & Discovery

ATHFF was built differently. We reject commercial pay-to-play schemes. Every selection is curated for maximum industry impact, paired with private pitch salons and in-person theatrical screenings in Beverly Hills and Hollywood.

Accreditation & Distribution

“All Things Hollywood provided our short documentary with direct exposure to three major documentary sales agents. By closing night, we had international distribution options on the table.”

— Maya Lin, 10th Edition Grand Jury Honoree
Chronicle of Authenticity

The 15-Year Legacy of All Things Hollywood

From an underground protective directory in 2010 to a premier red-carpet festival celebrating its 11th milestone edition in the entertainment capital of the world.

2010 • The Inception

The Protection Directory Founded

Hollywood can be notoriously perilous for newcomers. In 2010, All Things Hollywood was formed as a verified registry specifically designed to shield actors, screenwriters, and independent producers from exploitative agencies, predatory workshops, and scam distribution rings. Word rapidly spread throughout Los Angeles, turning the directory into an essential seal of industry integrity.

2011 • Inaugural Gala

Sold-Out Debut at the American Film Institute (AFI)

Recognizing the surging community of verified talent, the platform inaugurated the first annual All Things Hollywood Film Festival on the prestigious grounds of the American Film Institute (AFI). The inaugural event drew a sold-out crowd of over 400 creators, studio executives, cinematographers, and festival programmers, establishing ATHFF as a genuine beacon for independent visionaries.

2015–2018 • The Expansion

Broadening International Footprint

ATHFF expanded its competitive slates, adding dedicated categories for Experimental Shorts and Non-Fiction features. The festival instituted private industry pitch breakfasts where selected directors were seated directly with accredited development heads and sales agents from Beverly Hills agencies.

2020–2023 • Digital Vanguard

Resilience & Global Theatrical Return

Navigating the shifting global film landscape, ATHFF pioneered encrypted virtual acquisition previews for international film markets while maintaining intimate, COVID-compliant physical screenings. Our alumni roster grew to over 300 films, with ATHFF official selections securing premiere deals on Hulu, Netflix, and theatrically across North America and Europe.

2026–2027 • The 11th Edition

The 11th Anniversary Showcase

Now celebrating its 11th edition, ATHFF continues its steadfast ethos: unapologetic cinematic originality, rigorous jury scrutiny, and unprecedented access to the real machinery of Hollywood storytelling.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about submissions, screening DCPs, student waivers, and jury decisions.

What is the difference between Short and Feature pricing? +
Base rates apply to all short film categories (under 40 minutes). As established for the 11th Edition, feature categories (Fiction Feature, Animation & Documentary Feature) add exactly $3 across each deadline tier.
When will official selections be announced? +
All filmmakers will receive official notification via FilmFreeway between October 24 and October 28, 2027. Selected projects will receive full digital laurel packages and exhibition delivery instructions immediately.
Can I submit a rough cut or work-in-progress? +
Yes. We accept work-in-progress cuts (picture-lock with temp sound or color) provided the project will be fully mastered before September 2027. Please explicitly mark your screener with "Work in Progress."
Do you offer fee waivers? +
To ensure parity and fair compensation for our viewing committee and projection teams, ATHFF does not grant free waivers. We do, however, provide discounted Student tiers and Gold Member rates across every deadline.
Are distributors and sales agents in attendance? +
Yes. Through our 15-year history and the original 2010 industry directory, ATHFF maintains direct relationships with North American buyers, boutique sales reps, and acquisition scouts who attend our Beverly Hills screenings.
